About Us

Welcome to the Phi Alpha Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., proudly serving Goldsboro, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. Our chapter was founded in 1981 by visionary members who recognized the need for a local fraternity presence to enhance engagement and foster brotherhood within the community.

The Goldsboro Omega men, originating from the Nu Alpha cluster chapter, have a long history of dedication and service. Monthly meetings were once rotated through various cities, including Goldsboro, Wilson, New Bern, Kinston, Greenville, and Washington.

Recognizing the unique needs and growing membership of Goldsboro, a study committee led by Brother Fred Lutz initiated the creation of a dedicated local chapter.

Through the tireless efforts of the study committee and support from the Sixth District Officials, Phi Alpha Alpha was officially chartered in January 1981. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a new era for Omega men in Goldsboro, enabling them to more effectively serve their community and engage inactive brothers.

Our chapter is committed to the fraternity's four cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. We actively participate in various programs and initiatives that promote academic excellence, leadership, and social responsibility. From educational outreach and mentorship programs to community service and cultural events, the Phi Alpha Alpha Chapter continually strives to make a positive impact.

As we look to the future, we remain dedicated to our mission of empowering and transforming lives in Goldsboro and beyond. We invite you to join us in our efforts to build a stronger, more vibrant community.
